Who we are
Cortex66 (cortex66.com) is operated by the team behind Cortex66 (our registered company name and address will be added here) ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@cortex66.com.
The service
Cortex66 is a web app that connects AI models into one chat and one memory that you own. It uses your own API keys and your own AIs first, and offers its own lane, priced in credit, for steps your lanes cannot cover.
It includes workspaces you can share, a memory of facts you confirm, receipts and cost caps before paid steps, a connector for your own Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, and a browser extension that acts only with your approval.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. Keep your sign-in email and devices secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- Give accurate information and keep your email address up to date.
- A workspace owner decides who joins the workspace and what they can do there.
- You can sign out of every device and delete your account from your settings.
Acceptable use
Use Cortex66 lawfully and fairly. When you connect your own AIs or your own keys, you also follow those providers' terms; your agreement with them stays yours.
You must not:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or use the service to harass, deceive or harm anyone;
- try to reach data of another workspace or user, test our security without our written permission, or get around a cap, a limit or a check;
- use the service to create malware, spam, or content that the AI providers' usage policies forbid;
- resell or share access to the Cortex66 lane, or scrape or overload the service;
- ask the browser extension to do what it never does: enter passwords, card or identity numbers or keys, make purchases, solve CAPTCHAs, or act on a site without your approval.
Your content and AI outputs
What you put into Cortex66 (messages, files, memories) stays yours, and so do the outputs you get. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you, including sending the parts a step needs to the AI provider that runs it. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to train AI models.
AI outputs can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them, especially for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions.
Credit and payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page; Paddle adds any tax that applies at checkout. Credit is spent at the AI provider's list price × 2.5, and each receipt shows the price before the step runs. Nothing paid runs without a cap you approved.
- Credit from a pack does not expire.
- Free credit given at sign-up is a promotional offer: it has no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and the offer can end.
- Credit is tied to your account and cannot be exchanged for money, except in a refund under the Refund Policy.
- If a step's outcome is unknown (for example, a provider timed out), we reconcile it with the provider and charge only what was used.
Cortex66 Plus and cancellation
Cortex66 Plus is a monthly subscription. It renews each month until you cancel it, and each paid renewal adds the plan's monthly credit to your account.
You can cancel at any time from the billing page in the app, through Paddle's customer portal, or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for; until then the plan stays active. Credit already added stays in your account.
Refunds
Refunds follow our Refund Policy and are handled by Paddle as the Merchant of Record. Nothing in these terms limits the rights a consumer has under the law of their country.
Third-party AI providers
Cortex66 sends the parts of a task a step needs to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and xAI). With your own key, the call is made under your agreement with that provider; on the Cortex66 lane, under ours. Providers can change models, prices or availability, or have outages; when that happens, Cortex66 tells you and does not charge for a step that did not run.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Cortex66 available and safe, but the service is provided as it is and as available, and parts of it may change, pause or end. If we end a paid feature, we tell you in advance, and unused credit from packs can be refunded.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Cortex66 and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why when the law and safety allow.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we tell you by email or in the app before it applies; the date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law named here once our company is registered. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
